A Vinyasa class is both a great place to start and to continue challenging yourself. Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is comprised of a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow. Like all styles of yoga, Vinyasa has both mental and physical benefits. Physically, sweat expels toxins and re-energizes your body. Mentally, the synchronized breathing relaxes your mind and helps to release any blockage of energy flow throughout your body. Working from your breath and moving outward, you can expect to create strength and flexibility throughout your entire body.
Anusara yoga class is open to all levels. It is a life affirming yoga system rooted in the tantric philosophy of instrinsic goodness as the essence of everything in life. With precise Universal Principles of Alignment, Anusara empowers you to safely align the inner and outer body and fully awaken your highest potential. As an artistic expression from the inside out, the practice is oriented around the heart. Anusara is therapeutic, healing and invites you to experience deep connection and transformation on and off the mat.
Yin Yoga and Meditation
An invitation to find your inner peace. Set in calm and contemplative space, this is an opportunity for you to benefit from an hour of sacred space, move deeper into your breath and body and awaken the quality of profound self-acceptance. Yin postures are seated or reclined and intended to be held to allow the gentle stretch of connective tissues with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility, organ health, immunity and emotional well-being. The class ends with group meditation.

John Levis is a Certified Anusara Yoga Instructor, E-RYT500 and has well over 1,000 hours of training. He grew up playing ice hockey and in college found an interest in weight training. Looking for something more, he discovered yoga in 2000. A perfect complement to any workout, John found yoga to be fulfilling and forgiving, extremely powerful and therapeutic. Uniting the mind with the virtues of the heart, yoga has proven to reveal and cultivate that “something more.” He no longer suffers from chronic back pain, has grown more than 1” since turning 30, and feels more capable than ever after 40. Combining inspiration with humor, he gets a kick out of watching students discover just what can be accomplished as they learn the therapeutic and empowering value of yoga. John offers local and international yoga retreats, workshops, Thai Yoga Bodywork and teaches privately and publicly throughout northern NJ.
Linda Hom had been practicing yoga for over 10 years before becoming inspired to become a yoga teacher. In addition to being trained and certified in the US, she has studied in India. With expertise in holistic nutrition, Ayurveda and meditation, heryoga classes are guided by a whole body approach. Linda’s classes are not about who is flexible and who is tight. They are about the wonderful understanding of opening your body and mind organically and wisely. Discover intelligence, balance, and aesthetics in poses that challenge and excite us. All are welcome in this journey of self-discovery.
Megan is an Intuitive Bodyworker, Breathworker and Wellness Coach. For years she has been intrigued by the movement arts such as Functional Training, Dance, Yoga and Qi Gong. She was first certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2002 and has received numerous personal training and movement certifications since. Her love of the human body and its infinite capacities led her to Shree Yoga in Saddle River New Jersey where she completed her Anusara-based 200hr yoga teacher training.
Megan's classes focus on alignment, breathwork and optimal energy flow throughout the body/mind provoked by the skilled instruction of Asana (the poses), Pranayama (the Breath) and Dhyana (the meditative mind).

Cheryl is an RYT200+ yoga instructor with a passion for teaching vinyasa, pranayama, and yin. Cheryl discovered yoga years ago and embraced it because of its ability to heal and facilitate growth in her. She completed an RYT200 program at Onyx Studio in June 2018 and studied ancient yogic philosophies and vinyasa privately with her teacher. Cheryl creates dynamic flows while weaving the philosophies into the class. Her warmth and compassionate style supports students as she guides them safely using alignment principles. Classes also include centering, meditation, pranayama, and asana to link breath with movement. Her hope is for students to connect to their own inner wisdom and to live from that state. For Cheryl, yoga is not only about flexibility of bodies but more about discovering what lies within our own hearts and souls.
Cheryl is a mother of two children and resides in northern New Jersey. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and singing. ~Find you, Be you.
Natasha is very passionate about Yoga; she loves practicing and teaching. She discovered yoga 20+ years ago while working in corporate America as a way to manage stress and stay flexible. In 2015, she decided to take her practice to a new level, so she completed a 200 hour Lifepower yoga teacher training and started teaching a few classes a week. She teaches a vinyasa class with a focus on breath and body/mind connection. Natasha believes that Yoga is a journey and a Union of opposites: “hot sun” and “cool moon,” yin and yang, power and surrender. Each one of her classes is designed as a smooth flow to warm up every joint and muscle with a few optional challenges to get her students out of their comfort zone, so they can grow! She teaches yoga and meditation in private and group settings. Her current schedule at CoreYoga: Fridays 9:39-10:30.
In addition to yoga, Natasha has another passion: dancing! After 10+ years of ballroom dancing, in 2014 she got multiple licenses from Zumba Fitness and currently teaches Zumba/Zumba TONING classes. She also fundraises for the medical Mission to the Philippines as well as other worthy causes.
